At Just Zero, we know that Zero Waste solutions start at the local level. As national Zero Waste experts, we partner with legislators, community groups, environmental organizations, and grassroots leaders to support campaigns that stop polluting waste facilities and advance policies that reduce waste, improve recycling, and protect public health and the environment. Whether you’re working to shut down an incinerator, fight a landfill expansion, advocate for new laws or policies, or develop a local Zero Waste plan, we’re here to help – and we’re stronger together.

Why does Just Zero work with partners?

The Zero Waste arena involves complexities where “common sense” solutions are not always good solutions. In a presentation, Just Zero shared insights about how waste-to-energy is not an acceptable approach to waste disposal. The presentation helped our members understand that waste-to-energy is a myth that presents health risks to nearby communities and doesn’t generate much energy.
